Avium, final sprint (with surprise)
Hello everyone,
sunday June 27 day (tardiva!!) Census of nesting in Milan for three detectors FaunaViva.
The heat begins to be felt, but the rewards are good. The
" top species" of the day are a pair of Hobby near Clairvaux, 1 Cetti's, a Little Grebe and a pair of Great Crested Grebe in a quarry to Sorigherio, 1 Red-backed Shrike in the urban wasteland in the industrial area between Lambrate and Redecesio.
Nearly a dozen pairs of Kestrel, Woodpecker and many of suspicion of Cuckoo to check!
The most interesting note, however, come from the Park Forlanini:
have been identified traces of a roost of owls common (to watch in the coming winter!) and a nest, busy, Grey Heron!
We showed that the species nested in Milan, in which case it would be good news!
Unfortunately it was not possible to see how you compose the little family. Directions
ecologically interesting came by observing the food remains; recognized Gambero Rosso Louisiana (Procambarus clarkii ) small tortoiseshell and red-eared (Trachemis scrypta elegans): dell'alloctono the fair! And the Grey Heron which is good cleaning!
